We would like to hear from anybody who is interested in becoming part of the RNLI team.

In order to join the crew, you must be at least 17 years old, medically fit and have excellent eyesight.

It is also essential that you have your own transport and you both live and work within 5 miles of the station.

You will also be expected to attend exercises on monday night and saturday morning as often as possible and undertake further training both on station and at the Lifeboat College in Poole, Dorset.

You must be 110% committed to being a crewmember, as we are regularly called out from our beds, places of work and our families at anytime of the day or night throughout the year.

After a trial period and completing a medical you would begin initial training and eventually be presented with a beeper which will enable you to respond to "shouts" with the rest ofthe crew.

 In return for your commitment, you will be rewarded with one of the most exciting and fulfilling voluntary jobs available and you will be joining a group of highly trained, committed and caring individuals who will become your second family.
